Who is eligible?
Membership of the CAMIP Voluntary Register is open to medical illustrators
who are either previous but lapsed members of the register or who hold at
least a BSc degree in Medical Illustration.
In addition, lapsed professional (qualified) members of either IMI or BIPP
who rejoin their professional body will automatically be registered by the
professional body as a benefit of membership.
If you do not fit the above categories you may still be able to apply to
join the register if you qualify under either of the following two
criteria:
1. You have experience from at least the last five years in the clinical
photography of patients and possess a qualification in Medical
Illustration from BIPP, IMI, MAA or any other relevant awarding body.
2. You have experience from at least the last
five years in the clinical photography of patients and have some qualifications in general photography but not medical
photography.
In either case, you must
be actively engaged in an approved CPD programme in order to satisfy
“fitness to practise” criteria.
